As you grow older, if you don’t move, you won’t move! Yvonne Dowlen - 88 year old figure skater

The older I get, the more stiff I get, the harder it is to get moving in the morning or after a long day of work, or sitting at the office, or riding in a car. All the more reason for me to remember that every day, I need to move, I need to stretch, I need to strengthen my body so that it can continue to serve me well. As we grow older, we need to engage in regular and consistent physical activity to maintain our fitness, our physical strength, and our flexibility. Walking, resistance training, tai chi, swimming, biking, yoga - all are activities that are excellent ways to get moving!
